Landfall Angus sale smashes Tasmanian record

Landfall Angus’ 45th annual sale in Launceston, Tasmania went down as one to remember with Lot 15, Landfall Pheasantry S1755, going for nearly a quarter of a million dollars.  

The Landfall autumn sale was a successful day having a 97.9% clearance rate with 230 bulls selling over the day for an average price of $14,647. 

Nutrien Ag Solutions Livestock Account Manager Cooper Lamprey the calibre of bulls was high and there was plenty of variety on offer for commercial purposes to high-end.  

“We knew Lot 15 was a standout and recognised the quality on offer. It was brilliant that the market on the day reflected that,” Cooper said.  

“It is a brilliant result for Tasmania and highlights the quality of breeding we have here”. 

Lots 15 sold for $240,000. The previous highest-selling Angus bull in Tasmania record sat at $75,000 and was sold in 2019, and the highest-selling bull record was $82,000.
