Meet our Livestock Trainee: Dan Major
What's your background?
I'm from a small family farm in Williams, focused on trading cattle and sheep.
Why did you choose a career in livestock?
I love the people and being in the country. You get to see lots of incredible parts of Australia and meet so many great people.
What advice do you have for future trainees?
You'll get great opportunities in the Livestock Trainee Program. They include access to different markets and divisions and opportunities to see different parts of Australia. We have access to so many different people and opportunities, I think it’s pretty special.
What do you do in your spare time?
I spent a fair bit of time in Perth city and if I'm not there, I'll be helping home on the farm or playing hockey.
