Celebration for Graduates from Women in Leadership Mentoring Program

The cohort comprises a diverse range of expertise from agronomy, branch management, merchandise, IT, finance, human resources and more. 

“As a business, we are taking deliberate actions to ensure women are given the opportunity to develop their skills and capabilities to progress their careers and participate at senior leadership levels,” said Carissa Buckland, Chair – Nutrien Ag Solutions Gender Working Group. 

“The program has been developed to identify, develop and support women into management positions. Successful applicants are matched with a mentor for nine months, where together, they establish and work towards achieving individual goals.” 

Nutrien Ag Solutions said “This Program provides an avenue for our women to build their skills, knowledge and networks, so they are equipped and prepared to step into leadership roles. The program helps them to form important connections between other participants, their mentors and other senior leaders in the business.”  

Kristie Freeman, Account Manager Agronomy and 2022 Program Participant recommended the Women in Leadership Program to anyone interesting in improving their interpersonal skills or looking for guidance in the next stage of their career. 

“Not only have I had the chance to get to know a range of women (and men) within the Nutrien network but was matched with a mentor who challenged me to grow and was a sounding board for the duration of the program – something I don’t see changing past the official wrap up of the course.
