Celebration for Graduates from Nutrien Ag Solutions Women’s Leadership Mentoring Program

Nine outstanding professional women from Nutrien Ag Solutions have graduated from the Women's Leadership Mentoring Program. The cohort comprises a diverse range of expertise from agronomy, branch management, wool, finance, and human resources.

The program was developed to help women transition into management positions, a focus for Nutrien Ag Solutions with their commitment to increase women in leadership roles. Successful applicants are matched with a mentor for nine months, where together, they establish and work towards achieving individual goals.

Nutrien Ag Solutions said, "Nutrien are committed to doing more to ensure women are given the opportunity to develop their skills to progress their careers and participate at senior leadership levels. The mentoring program helps create opportunities for women to progress their careers in agriculture. Watching these amazing women develop and grow over the past 9 months is a testament to the capability and commitment they have for their careers. "

Carissa Buckland, Chair – Nutrien Ag Solutions Gender Working Group, said, "I am proud to be part of Nutrien Ag Solutions as we embrace the task of creating a workplace that celebrates and encourages the role of women in agriculture".

"The graduates have formed important connections between other participants and mentors, had meaningful conversations about their future and the future of agriculture and have had time and support to focus on their personal and professional development," says Buckland

Bronwen Bird, Animal Health, Nutrition & Production Specialist and 2021 Women's Leadership Mentoring Program Graduate, said, "the program provided me with invaluable learning and networking experiences. Having regular access to a leader within the business as a mentor has been a powerful tool and something I am most grateful for."

"My mentor has been integral to my growth and development within my role at Nutrien this last year. Having a mentor to assist me in setting goals, then navigating a path to achieve them, and steering me back on track when required, has been beneficial for me personally and professionally. I have also appreciated the other perks of the program, such as the learning modules and access to AIM courses. I cannot recommend this Mentor Program enough to other women within the business."

Applications for the 2022 program are currently open, and Nutrien Ag Solutions looks forward to announcing the 2022 cohort.
