Support for WACFL

44 WA Country Football League (WACFL) clubs share in $43,506 thanks to Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Country football clubs across Western Australia are receiving a share of more than $43,000 thanks to an initiative led by Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Last year Nutrien Ag Solutions pledged to donate $1 per tonne of fertiliser sold back to the local football club of the purchaser’s choice for any new customer purchases.

Since its launch, the campaign has raised $43,506 to support 44 WA Country Football League (WACFL) clubs.

WACFL Executive Manager Tom Bottrell has thanked Nutrien Ag Solutions for their support.

“This has been a great initiative from Nutrien Ag Solutions, and it’s been fantastic to see a large number of WACFL Clubs receive bonus, unbudgeted funds,” says Mr Bottrell.

Nutrien Ag Solutions WA Retail Fertiliser Manager Stuart Gray says they are committed to supporting communities through the good times and the bad.

“It’s been a really tough time for rural and regional communities, and the cancellation of the Nutrien Ag Country Football Championships due to Covid-19 earlier this year was very disappointing for many across the state,” says Mr Gray.

“I grew up in a small community and understand the importance of supporting local groups and clubs. This funding for grassroots clubs that are often the hub of our communities removes some of the financial burden that these groups have faced during a very turbulent season.”

“I want to thank all our customers and Nutrien branches who have supported this initiative - we are very pleased to be able to work together to give back to WACFL.”
