Rebecca Gilbert named a finalist in the 2022 Queensland Broker of the Year Awards

Rebecca Gilbert is the Divisional Insurance Manager for North Queensland and has been working with Nutrien Ag Solutions for the past six years. 

Based in Townsville, Queensland, Rebecca says her team across northern Queensland all share the same passion for agriculture and enthusiasm for the broking industry. 

“I really enjoy managing the Nutrien Insurance branches located from up north in Cairns down to Rockhampton. We have a large footprint, and it is really rewarding being part of a successful team and supporting our local rural community. It has been a challenging few years for our customers and the wider community navigating through Covid, flooding and bushfires and I’ve been fortunate to be involved in supporting customers with their changing needs and being there when they needed it the most,” says Rebecca. 

“What I love about the industry is that is offers a really fulfilling career, I started in Insurance when I left school and now have been in the industry for more than 20 years. It has provided me with so many opportunities to progress my career into management roles all whilst providing the flexibility to raise a family, bringing up my three young girls.”       

Rebecca says being selected as a finalist for the NIBA 2022 Queensland Broker of the Year this award is a career highlight. 

I feel very privileged to be named as a finalist for this award. The award recognises the important role of brokers and also celebrates my achievements and 20 year contribution to the industry.

The NIBA 2022 Broker of the Year Awards recognise the top performing brokers across the country.
