The Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program is supporting the Deniliquin District Cricket Association to make the local playground safer.

Quick chat with Nutrien Ag Solutions Deniliquin Branch Manager, Matt Tubb

How long have you lived in the local community?
I grew up nearby at Finley, travelled a bit then came to Deni 14 years ago.

What do you love most about your local community?
We’ve got so many different sporting communities that are available for people to participate in and get involved with. The people of those groups are super welcoming, which makes it an awesome community to bring up a young family and work in.

Recipient of the 2021 Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program: Deniliquin District Cricket Association.

Why are they a worthy recipient?
I think it’s a great project because of the safety aspect, a lot of children will be much safer separated from the road. Having young kids myself, I’m super conscious of cars and it touches a chord for me – if I’m down at the footy watching sport I know the kids aren’t going to be in harm’s way.

Why is it important that businesses like Nutrien support your local community?
We’ve got 16 staff that work out of the branch, which is part of this community - it’s nice to be part of something that you can hang your hat on, and support something for the greater good.
