Meet our grad: Emma Cleaver, Agronomist, York WA

I find it very rewarding helping growers improve their business and seeing my recommendations result in healthier crops and higher yields.

What's your background?

I am an Agronomist for Nutrien Ag Solutions, based in York WA. I was originally accepted into the Nutrien Graduate Agronomy program in 2020.  I studied Animal Science and Crop and Pasture Science at Murdoch University and graduated in 2019. I have lived in a few different country towns in WA but was based in Perth throughout high school and university.

What do you love about your role?

I find it very rewarding helping growers improve their business and seeing my recommendations result in healthier crops and higher yields.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love to spend time with my friends and family, play netball on the weekends and travel when I can.

Why did you choose a career in agribusiness?

I would encourage anyone to consider a career in agriculture because not only is there a wide range of job opportunities available but there is such a great community that stands behind the Australian Agriculture industry. Being able to contribute to the wellbeing and improvement of individual farming businesses is very rewarding.
