International Dairy Week makes a return in 2022

The largest expo event in the Australian dairy industry has kicked off in Victoria.

Australia’s International Dairy Week has kicked off at Tatura, Victoria, with Nutrien Ag Solutions a naming sponsor of the event.

Over five days, more than 1,000 head of dairy cattle and 180 dairy breeders will compete across six National Breed Shows and a National Youth Show; along with an all-breeds sale, trade show exhibition, industry seminars and local dairy and progeny tours.

Scott Lord, General Manager of Dairy Livestock Services (DLS), a division of Nutrien Ag Solutions, said the event was an important networking opportunity for dairy farmers, breeders and industry stakeholders.

This is Australia’s premier dairy event. It provides an excellent forum to showcase the latest developments in the industry – from farming practices, breeding and genetics, machinery and equipment, to nutrition and environmental management.

“We’ll be exhibiting at the trade show, with a joint Nutrien-DLS stand to promote our business products that provide value to the dairy industry. DLS director Brian Leslie will be judging on the Tuesday, with many of the DLS representatives also supporting and assisting with stewarding," said Mr Lord.

Previously attracting over 4,000 visitors from across Australia and internationally, in 2022 the show and sale will also be streamed online.

DLS is comprised of a team of 15 specialist dairy professionals based throughout the eastern dairy regions, offering dairy marketing advice, commercial and private livestock sales, breeder live export, herd valuations, finance and insurance services.
