Future of livestock industry on show at 2025 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition

Congratulations to Matthew Pearce of GDL Rural, Emerald, on being named the winner of the 2025 Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association (ALPA) National Young Auctioneers Competition, held at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. 

Austin Gerhardy of Nutrien Ag Solutions, Busselton, was named runner-up in this fiercely contested event.

The Queensland team represented by Dustyn Fitzgerald of Nutrien Ag Solutions, Dalby and Matthew Pearce of GDL Rural Emerald were the winners of the NAB Agribusiness Team Shield. The shield is awarded to the state with the highest combined point score.

Sam Thomas of Nutrien Milling Thomas, Dubbo also walked away as the winner of the Max Bailey Encouragement Award.
